Biocontrol of plant pathogens in sustainable agriculture
XII Meeting of IOBC/WPRS Working Group "Biological control of fungal and bacterial plant pathogens"

The EU directive 2009/128/EC, establishing a framework action to achieve the sustainable use of pesticides, requires that by 14 December 2012, Member States communicate their National Action Plans. The directive clearly mentioned that “Sustainable biological, physical and other non-chemical methods must be preferred to chemical methods if they provide satisfactory pest control”. In this workshop we would like to stimulate discussions on how biocontrol of plant pathogen could contribute in making agriculture more sustainable with a special focus on what tools can provide for the fulfilment of the EU directive.

The First World Congress on the Use of Biostimulants in Agriculture

Strasbourg is not only France’s sixth most populous city, but also features a world-famous Christmas market that will open right at the close of the Congress.
