Travel and Directions

The IBMA Offices are located in the heart of the European Quarter of Brussels, close to the European institutions, in the Copa and Cogeca building (opposite the Thon hotel). You find us on the first floor, on the left hand side of the reception.

Travel by air:

The nearest airport is Brussels National Airport in Zaventem (approximately 13km away). Regular rail services run between Brussels Airport and the Schuman train station, 1 metro stop or 5mn walk away from our offices. You can change for metro line number 1 (direction Gare de l'Ouest) or number 5 (direction Erasme) and get off at the next stop, Maelbeek. Leave Maelbeek Station at the Rue de la Loi/Rue de Trèves side and turn into Rue de Trèves. The Copa Cogeca building will be on your left hand side.

Bus 12 (Airport express) to Brussels Schuman station is another option. You can change for the metro as described above. Coming from the bus stop the entrance will be located at the head end of the bus stop, on the Schuman roundabout.

Walking from Schuman: Head down the Rue de la Loi westwards in the direction of the city centre. At the height of the Maelbeek metro station, turn left (south) into rue de Trèves. Number 61 will be on your left hand side.

Travel by train:

From Brussels Central Station (2.5km): Take metro line number 1 (direction Stockel) or number 5 (direction Hermann-Debroux) for 3 stops and get off at Maelbeek station. Leave Maelbeek Station at the Rue de la Loi/Rue de Trèves side and turn into Rue de Trèves. The Copa Cogeca building will be on your left hand side.

From Brussels Midi Station - Eurostar, ICE and Thalys services (6km):

Take metro line number 2 (direction Simonis Elisabeth) or number 6 (direction Simonis Elisabeth) - be careful not to take lines 2 or 6 in the direction of Simonis Leopold! Change at Arts-Lois for line number 1 (direction Stockel) or number 5 (direction Hermann-Debroux) for 3 stops and get off at Maelbeek station. Leave Maelbeek Station at the Rue de la Loi/Rue de Trèves side and turn into Rue de Trèves. The Copa Cogeca building will be on your left hand side.

If you prefer to travel by bus, you may take bus number 27 (direction Andromède) and get off at Place du Luxembourg. From here, turn left at the end of the square into rue de Trèves and follow the street till number 61, which will be on your right hand side.
